This position is responsible for maintaining smooth production flow and providing day-to-day leadership for employees in their designated areas for afternoon shift. This position will entail effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, achieving and maintaining production efficiency and dedication to the quality of the product produced. This position is a working teamleader position and will require the completion of regular production tasks as well as teamleader responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be able to ensure production goals are met on a daily basis
- Troubleshoot issues at weld cells
- Coordinates production tasks with available employees and work load
- Must follow all company rules and policies
- Must work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must follow safety rules and TS 16949 requirements
- Train employees in job functions
- Oversee the 5S program in the work area
- Must be able to effectively communicate ideas, problems and needs to all employees
- Prioritize tasks with regard to ship schedules and customer requirements
- Learns all production related job functions with the ability to train others
- Establishes a working knowledge of the Truform Quality System and trains others in the use of the system
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Must have completed 90 day probationary period
- Must have had no disciplinary actions within the prior 12 month period
- If selected, must agree to remain in this position for a period of 1 year from date of start
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must have demonstrated attention to safety guidelines and rules
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed
- Must be able to read and understand the weekly/daily schedule
- Must have demonstrated trouble shooting abilities
- Three years experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Must have the desire to have a leadership role
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
