Material Handler / Bendi Certified – Afternoon Shift

This position will operate an industrial power forklift to move metal stampings, welded assemblies, and finished goods to designated areas. This position will also assist in the storage and retrieval of dies for setup on stamping presses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow and complete daily start up, and safety checks on forklift.
  • Moving parts from work centers to a designated areas.
  • Follow the schedule for setup on weld cells
  • Insure that all Material is labeled correctly before leaving Work Center.
  • Empty all scrap bins as needed, and at the end of the shift .
  • Stacking containers at multiple levels.
  • Maintain and help with 5S duties as required.
  • Weigh all scrap and record.
  • Stacking of wood pallets.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have completed 90 day probationary period
  • Must have had no disciplinary actions within the prior 12 month period
  • If selected, must agree to remain in this position for a period of 1 year from date of start
  • Must have excellent attendance and work history record
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate a lift truck.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with possible shift overlap requirements
  • Ability to perform manual lifting up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to work within a technical area and willingness to learn and take initiative in new tasks
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Experience with programmable scales and weigh counting
  • Previous experience with forklift a plus
